Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken in the a hidden spot off of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mountains. I found it while hiking one day and loved the location.
Time
This photo was taken late afternoon. About 2 hours before sunset.
Lighting
It is all natural light. I used my Nikon D910 as a slight filler just to open up some of the darker areas on her body.
Equipment
Nikon D750, Nikon 70-200 2.8, Nikon D910.
Inspiration
I was inspired by a painting from Frank Frazetta named "Jungle Woman" It is a powerful photo and I wanted to find my own vision that would tell a beautiful, sexy and powerful story.
Editing
I used lightroom to get the man color scheme then used photoshop to sharpen, dodge and burn specific areas. I also used a slight saturation on her tattoos.and the water. I added the water splash.
In my camera bag
2 Nikon D750's, Nikon 24-70MM 2.8, Nikon 70-200MM 2.8, Sigma 85MM 1.4, Spiderholster pro (2 clip), white balance chart, light meter and tripod.
Feedback
Besides having a beautiful model who is flexible... the biggest thing to focus on the lighting. If you have to wait till the light is perfect... wait! Don't rush the shot and regret it in post. There are many locations to have a beautiful shot taken but there are only small windows of perfect light. We waited almost an hour before the light was exactly what I wanted.
