Behind The Lens

Location
This gerbera was a little gift for my wife which stood in a little vase near the window of our living room.
Time
It was on a saturday morning after breakfast.
Lighting
Nothing special just available light without any extra light.
Equipment
At that time i was testing a Sony alpha 6000 with my sigma 105mm macro lens with a canon-to-sony adapter. I wanted to see if i could or should move from canon to sony. I borought it just a day before i took the picture.
Inspiration
Gerberas are always worth a quick shot :-) The colours where pretty soft and tender on this one.
Editing
I did some basic adjustments like a little bit of sharpening - lens correction - brightness and contrast.
In my camera bag
I still got my canon 700D with some lenses like the canon 18-135mm; canon 10-18mm; Sigma 105mm macro and the canon niftyfifty. and of course other stuff like a flash, spare batteries and memorycards in almost every bag. Once you forget memorycards you´ll never leave the house without a memorycard anymore.
Feedback
Photography is all about light. When using only available light you should try different camera positions. And try to avoid harsh and bright sunlight. This causes bold dark shadows and blown out bright parts. Except for some black&white pictures where you can use the bright light for a specific picture style.
