The Rogue River blasts through the Avenue of Boulders in Prospect, OR. Those rock walls get eaten up by high roaring river water.

The location I'm on is right on an angled rock alongside the Rogue, you can see the view behind me by viewing my other image "Avenue of Boulders" where you can see a large scary pool right below here. And just a bit further down the river lies Mill Creek Falls. Needless to say it isn't comfortable sitting right next to the extremely loud decibels and roaring river water.

I also don't like trusting me gear by dangling it over river water like this. I have a few pieces of gear I'm sure could use some upgrading, particularly my slip plates.

I loved this composition though and worked for a solid 30 minutes figuring it out. It wasn't amazing light but the composition holds strong. I love this location!!!

I love that you didn't expose too slow. Water looks like water.
Beautiful composition.
What format are you using? I find no technical info, but I am new to this so I might have missed it.

Hey sorry I missed this message. Thank you so much for the kind words! I use Nikon d600/810 with tamron g2 lenses. This was the 70-200.
