After a hectic hiking trip in the Canadian Rockies I went to Canmore hostel to spend a night before I catch the next day afternoon flight. It was a stormy night. By the time I woke up, the sky became clear and I went up to lake to capture the reflection of 3 sisters.

Location
I visited Canadian Rockies two years before and I took this one at Canmore, Alberta.Time
Sunrise and sunset are my favorite times for taking photographs because I really love the golden light which adds a new dimension to the image and also it creates a calm and soothing effect. I captured the image just after the sunrise.Lighting
I have experienced that if you travel far north or far south the sunlight becomes softer.I am glad that I have traveled such places. But I always recommend photographers not to get bounded by the light, if you can produce something good in a harsh lighting condition its your credit.Equipment
Though I shoot wildlife without any monopod or tripod, I do not prefer handheld photography in landscapeInspiration
I was mesmerized by the warm glow touching the mountain tops, the reflection of the mountain and obviously the low line cloud which is always my favorite topping in landscape photographyEditing
Yes, I processed the image using Photoshop CC. Processing skill varies from person to person, but the photographer has to produce the actual mood of the scene he/she witnessed. In my camera bag
I always carry D750 with 16-35 F/4 and few chocolates.Feedback
Planning is the mother of execution. Plan before you go. Wake up in the morning, because that's the time when everything remains calm. Visit near by lake as per your plan and shoot.
