This might be stretching the concept of "food" images, but this is hubby's science project of growing an avocado tree from a seed. Some of you may remember back several months ago when I posted an image of the tap root this seed sent out. We kept waiting for a sprout to appear and when it failed to do so, I finally stuck the seed and tap root into some soil. After a couple of weeks, lo and behold! He's finally got his sprout!
