Sunrise! One morning I went out with some friends to capture pictures of birds, the sun started coming out behind the mountains I figured why not try to get a shot with the sun coming up behind the mountains when all of the sudden I see something moving and I see this farmer far in the middle of this big field and focused on him instead, I was shooting with a 50-500mm Sigma, I love this shot!

Location
At Lajas Puerto Rico, at the entrance of the Laguna Cartagena, there is a huge field there and we met at the entrance where we were going to meet for a day out birding one of our friends was a little lateTime
It was about 5:30 AM and we were waiting for our friend to arrive when the sun started rising over the mountain I figured while we wait let's try to capture the sun rising from behind the mountain with my 50-500mm lens it should look good at 500mmLighting
The lighting was perfect and I knew I could do something right there on the spot, there was fog that helped with the sun not being too bright as I begin to prepare for whatever I could find in the landscape to shoot in this little time I haveEquipment
I took this shot with my Nikon D300 the best I still have it! And my 50-500mm Sigma lensInspiration
I was there to do bird photography but when I saw the light that was rising I just could not resist it! The color of the sun rising was very colorful it was the beginning of the golden hour so I pointed my camera towards the mountain top, I still don't know how bright it might be but I have to shoot fast so as I start to focus on the edge of the mountain top when all of the sudden I see something moving in the foreground and there he was a farmer doing his job in the middle of this huge field and the sun getting brighter and brighter something said this is the shot! I took all my focus on him and knew this will be over too fast and it was! but I was there to capture it I could not even bird after that all I kept thinking was to get home and look at what I captured!Editing
I always do post-processing, it's a must I believe the camera never sees it as I saw it so I do what I have to do to work on the photo as I saw it.In my camera bag
I make it a habit to carry just one camera at a time and not take away from my concentration like having luggage wait on me so when I go out like birding all I carry is my Nikon D7200 with a 55-300 Nikkor lens oldy but goody I like to get up close to my subject if not what's the sense? I have a Nikon D800 with a 17-35mm 2.8 Nikon lens and my D300 with a Tamron 11-16mm I mix it up and my Galaxy Note 10 PlusFeedback
Never underestimate yourself there is always something there to capture if you miss it you lost it if you ignore it you lost it! always try to be ahead of the shot, I went out to capture pictures of birds and I ended up with an award-winning photo and still going! I don't know how far it will go but I will never even try to make a better capture this is the one! Always respect your work and show it to the world
