Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Saint Elmo ghost town in Colorado last summer on an amazing trip to see my best friend. You just had to bring a bag of sunflower seeds and wait for the chipmunks to come and eat them out of your hand it was an amazing experience and perfect opportunity to take some amazing pictures!

Time

It was around 10:00 o’clock in the morning the perfect time of day to get this photo. It was early enough that there weren’t many people there to scare the chipmunks off but late enough so we didn’t have to wake up too early!

Lighting

The lighting in this photo is strictly natural, Sometimes that’s all the photo needs.

Equipment

This photo was taken with a Nikon D3400 DSLR with an AF-P NIKKOR 18-55mm lens.

Inspiration

Animals have always been a love for me. Just being in nature and around animals brings me such joy I wanted to capture it in this photo and share it with people with the same love that I have for them.

Editing

I did some slight editing with the software that came with my HP laptop and I did crop it to get a closer look at the chipmunk.

In my camera bag

I always have my Nikon 3400 DSLR Camera and my AF-P NIKKOR 18-55mm lens and my AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm zoom lens plus an extra battery and a couple SD cards.

Feedback

Hmm any advice... we’ll I guess my advice to you is to take photos of what you love. Find what you love and capture that image because words can’t always describe how much you love something or how you see it so in my opinion capture the thing you love through your photos and I promise other people will feel how much you love it!
