Comuna 13 - Medellin, Colombia. At one point, one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the world. Daily murders. Drug Wars. Especially after Pablo Escobar died. Up on the mountains that surround the city is where the poor live. You get up there through cable car and escalators. Graffiti art all through the brightly colored neighborhoods. Must see if and when in Medellin. Free tours by the locals that grew up with the violence, but now they are working to better where they live.
