Every winter 10's of thousands of snow geese migrate to the Skagit Valley in Washington. They spend a few months in the valley then go back to the north for the summer. They tend to stay in huge flocks in the farmer's fields during their stay. They are in constant movement and suddenly fly up, circle around and land back down in a couple of minutes.
