Behind The Lens

The photo was a spur of the moment. I was Travelling home late from work one evening and while crossing the railway bridge I saw the train in distance and thought it was a good chance to practice light trails, didn’t have time for a tripod or anything so just sat the camera on the bridge and held down the button in bulb mode.
It was late one evening, not sure exactly what time but it was winter time so was dark early anyway.
The background was lit up by the full moon. It was a shame it was cloudy but then I guess it adds too the drama of the shot.
Never leave Home without my camera, Nikon D3100 and my favourite 18-135mm lens.
I was inspired from some long exposure shots and light trails on instagram and decided to learn too do it for myself.
I allways shoot in RAW just in case, but this particular shot was one shot and didn’t require any editing apart Adobe Auto Correct.
In my camera bag
Nikon D3100, Nikon 18-135mm, Nikon 40mm Macro and a Sigma 70-300mm.
Practice. I know that sounds obvious but I was given a 10min lesson from a professional photographer on the basics, Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO and Composition. I’m just an amateur Photographer and all self taught. Once I mastered the basics, everything else fell into place.
