Location
This photo was taken in my home studio in Moscow. Here I made a lot of my portraits.Time
I have made this photo in the day time.Lighting
I took this photo using a day light from the window. Never be afraid to experiment, you can use different kinds of light and you never guess the result. I like day light but sometimes I have to use flashes. But I never use on-camera flash because it makes photos flat. I often use softboxes.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 6D, with Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM. I didn't use other equipment.Inspiration
My sister wanted a photo like Monica Bellucci and we just started our experiment. Firstly we started to copy the photos of Monica, but then we started to make our photos.Editing
Of course I spend a lot of time on post-processing in photoshop. I make my photos in RAW because it gives me an advantage in post-processing. In portraits I always pay much attention to eyes, because I think eyes can show people's soul.In my camera bag
I always pack in my bag Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L USM and Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM. In my opinion these lenses are very good at portraits and 50mm not so heavy as other portrait lenses.Feedback
Just always do what you love. This is the best principle that I follow. If I love sunrises I will wake up early and go to the field to capture it. If I love to make portraits I will start looking for people with interesting appereance and when I find them I will do my work.
