Behind The Lens

Location

My son and I love to go to a local park and feed the animals. I had gotten a new camera and was testing it out. I by no means am a 'photographer', and instead end up lucky with any good shots I have. I have little to no photography knowledge or skill, my camera does the work. However, I love to take pictures and its the fun I have in taking them that keeps me going.

Time

We had gone during an afternoon in winter. We need to get out of the house and break the cabin fever from the long cold spell we had. Any excuse to get outside is a good enough reason for us.

Lighting

I liked how the lights allowed all the different color of his fur to stand out.

Equipment

I used Nikon b500.

Inspiration

I was playing with my new camera, testing out features and settings seeing what they all did. This was one of my happy accidents.

Editing

No post-processing. This is the picture as taken.

In my camera bag

Usually I carry just my camera. I have a portable (table top) tripod and full tripod, however honestly, I haven't really gotten the chance to play with them yet.

Feedback

I would say patience and persistence, with a handful of luck. Luckily our local park wildlife is used to people feeding them, so they don't have the same fear of humans and thus it is easier to get cool images as they are less scared of your movements.
