Location
This photo was taken at Studio 1764 using their lights and their all white seamless backdrop.Time
This was during a studio shoot so the time of day doesn't matter.Lighting
I think I used two soft boxes for this. I like to use soft boxes from about 60 degrees off axis as this tends to reveal more of the round forms of the human body. In this case the one on the right is set to give more light than the one on the left.Equipment
Canon EOS Rebel T6s, EF-S18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM @ 50 mm, f18, no tripod, lights were provided by Studio 1764.Inspiration
This photo was taken at a studio group photo shoot.Editing
Post processing was done in Photoshop using my own custom set of contrast curves and the shadows/highlights tool. The B&W conversion was also done in Photoshop. In my camera bag
At the time I normally carried a Canon T6s with my older T3i as a backup. For lenses I had Canon 10-18 mm, 15-85 mm, 18-135 mm and a 55-250 mm. Since then I've gone full frame for most of my work suing a Canon 50 megapixel 5Ds with Canon 17-40 mm, 24-105 mm f4, 70-200mm f4 and Sigma 100-400 mm f4. As the 5Ds does not have a built in flash, I also carry a Canon 270EXII speedlite. Additionally, I sometimes carry Canon 50 & 85 mm f1.8 prime lenses for portraiture. The 5Ds is mostly used outdoors where it's extra pixels, detail and sharpness really count. I still us the T6s for studio work and the T3i for non fine art photography.Feedback
If you are interested in photographing the nude, I suggest taking some nude photography workshops. This will give you a chance to begin working with models, developing or finding your own personal style, develop a portfolio and start networking within the nude model community. Once you get comfortable doing this, pick one of the models you like to work with and book her for a one-on-one shoot either in a studio or in a natural setting. If you find a model that you like, that you can develop a rapport with, work with her on a regular basis. This was my third shoot with Riley.
