Known as the Magnificent Hummingbird until 2017, this species is now Rivoli's Hummingbird. Although this image is of a male Rivoli's, his incredible iridescent colors are (unfortunately) not visible because lighting was not optimal. Rivoli's Hummingbird is one of the largest found in the US, often seen in southern AZ and NM. This image was taken at Ramsey Canyon, AZ.
