Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken during a vacation with friends at the North Coast of Denmark, at a bunker museum near Frøstrup.
Time
The pic was taken around noon on a cold day in January. Since the sun doesn't rise very high in winter in Denmark we had some beautiful light, like it were only short after sunrise.
Lighting
No additional lighting, only sunlight.
Equipment
This was shot on a Sony alpha 6500 with a Sony E 16-70mm
Inspiration
I wanted to capture a picture representing everything I liked during my trip to Denmark. The sea, the wide landscape and the beautiful light from the low standing sun casting islands of light and shadow.
Editing
Mainly global processing in Lightroom and a few local adjustments to accentuate the light/shadows in the landscape. I also removed two parking cars with the spot removal tool.
In my camera bag
I always carry a big LoewePro backpack with all my equipment. In it there is my trusted Sony a6500, with the Sony 16-70 F4 Lens, a Sigma 16mm f1.4 and a Canon 70-300 f/4.0-5.6 on the Sigma MC-11 Adapter. I also carry with me a Sigma 30mm f1.4 and a Sony 85mm f1.8. There's also a tripod, some filters and lens cleaning equipment.
Feedback
Taking photos in Denmark in winter is extremely difficult, because of the weahter. Most of the time during my trip it was extremely rainy/snowy/foggy. Don't give up! When the weather clears up and the sun comes out, immediately grab your camera and take your chance. Because of the low standing sun you don't need to aim for morning or evening, you can shoot all day in beautiful light.
