Location
On the Snæfellsnes peninsula. This is the beautiful waterfall Kirkjufellsfoss with Kirkjufell mountain behind it. I traveled to Iceland on a father daughter trip in September.Time
This is taken in the morning.Lighting
This was by far the trickiest scene for me our trip. The first time we drove through it was very foggy and we waited hours but the fog did not lift. So we came back for a second chance and we nailed it! Lighting is beautiful for sunset, and hopefully throughout the day the fog will lift.Equipment
I used: Canon 5D Mark iii Canon 24-70mm f2.8 Polarize lens filter Manfrotto tripod (Can withstand those high winds!)Inspiration
I wanted to frame the mountain in the background with the waterfall in the foreground, While capturing that water glowEditing
I did some color correcting in Lightroom. Just some highlight and lowlight adjustments, and bringing some greens up in saturation. In my camera bag
Canon 5D Mark iii 24-70mm f 2.8 70-200mm f 2.8 16-35mm f 4.0 50mm f 1.8 Polarized filters TripodFeedback
A Tripod is a must for waterfalls, keeping the shutter speed low to capture the water flow. Polorized filters are a nice enhancement for clouds and water.
