While on vacation in Eureka, California with my girlfriend recently, I had the pleasure of staying in an Air BnB that had a small forest as its backyard. I was out shooting some other stuff for a band, and decided to create this and work on my compositing skills, since I don't do much of that.
This photo is comprised of over 14 separate shots taken with my camera, a tripod, wireless remote and one speed light. Instead of having all my studio gear, I took multiple shots, emulating the light from the fire and moon, which is also composited ( forest fires are no bueno ) and moving my subject around and taking multiple shots of them as well.
This was a lot of fun, being able to experiment and recreate something with minimal gear and two people that would normally take multiple lights and people to make.
