Location
This is Old Hill carpark just outside Inverness.Time
7am on a winters morning.Lighting
During winter time shortly after sunrise although it was fairly flat light.Equipment
This is a mavic pro drone set in manual mode exposure settings. The drone has fixed aperture f/2.2 and exposure 1/50 ISO 400. Raw file edited in lightroom.Inspiration
The frost gives texture to the trees and the drone offers the opportunity to get this unusual perspective.Editing
Yes mostly handled by auto settings in lightroom. So it is fairly editing to convert a raw image to JPEG.In my camera bag
Sony a7rii (saving up for a mark iii) and spare batteries. This is a problem with the earlier Sony's compounded by very cold days. I have lee filters but just tend to take a soft graduated and a cir polariser. I have spare sd cards and lens cleaners. I travel light so I just tend to take what I need and not much spare stuff. So if I reckon I need a tripod I will carry it but any excess stuff is left behind if I predict it is not required. I take either camera or drone or both depending on the my anticipated shot selection and location.Feedback
Yes, shoot in manual settings using a drone. Take bracketed 3 or 5 shots so that either a best shot can be selected or several shots might be combined in lightroom HDR function. My most useful app is sun surveyor but there will be equivalent. It has the time of sunsets/ sunrises, moonset/moonrises as well as angle and location of sunrise overlaid on google maps. This is so helpful when planning shots even in local areas.
