The large Wild Tobacco shrub (Acnistus arborescens) just outside of my home office's window is in glorious bloom once more and it provided me with a great distraction from work. This morning I captured this photo of a Copper Rumped hummingbird as it fed from the nectar laden flowers. With each cluster averaging 20 flowers, it not hard to estimate that the shrub has hundreds of thousands of flowers at present which provides a bounty for wildlife.
