Behind The Lens

Location
Krueger Park, South Africa.
Time
It was captured early in the afternoon, around noonish. Was blessed great light as it was just the start of winter over there.
Lighting
The vehicle in which I was in was white. Which provided a great ad hoc bounce light on the subject!!
Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 7D MK II body, Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USM.
Inspiration
I was inspired by the look and stare he gave me.. very nonchalant look which was quite striking given his stature. He was quite chilled being as it was after a heavy mating session!!
Editing
A bit of enhancing of light and colour using lightroom.
In my camera bag
I usually carry my EOS 7D II, Sigma10-20mm f3.5 EX DC HSM Lens, EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM Lens, EF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USM, MIOPS Trigger and my 3legged Thing Leo Tripod.
Feedback
I guess what I learnt from this shot is a lot of patience and persistence. Eventually an event like this will present itself.
