Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in my home in my "studio" space.

Time

Probably late morning. He had a couple of different elaborate costumes he wanted to pose in. So it was hours long.

Lighting

It was a two light setup both flashes in softboxes.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D700 with a Tamron 90mm lens. Definitely shot on a tripod.

Inspiration

He contacted me one day asking for a slew of photos for an album cover. He and his friend are musicians and had recently completed a record.

Editing

I captured everything into Capture One. All post processing was done in C1 as well. I prefer that over LR.

In my camera bag

I always have a Nikon 135mm f2 DC and the 100mm f2 DC in my bag. I have an older 60mm macro lens in there too along with a Tamron 24-70mm.

Feedback

Just let the subject be comfortable and creative.
