Beautiful work with the contrast and very cool depth. I love how the background fades away in the tree tunnel.

Location
The photo was taken near my hometown in a forest. We visited another forest in the morning but had some trouble heading back home because of the bad weather conditions. Suddenly I remembered this spot and hoped it would be a nice photo with all the trees covered with snow. Before heading home we visited the forest as well.Time
It was taken in the afternoon on a very snowy sunday.Lighting
It was an overcast afternoon with no interesting lighting at all.Equipment
Canon 6D + 70-200 F4L IS USM on a tripod. EXIF: 0,5sec, ISO 320, F/11 135mm. I could have raised the ISO more to decrease the shutter speed so the snow whould show less movement.Inspiration
Nothing. I photographed this without a plan.Editing
Just basic post-processing but I added a lot of contrast because it was such a low-contrast scene because of the snow and the fog. I usually apply some split-toning but it wasn't needed here because it was already almost a monochrome blueish tone.In my camera bag
My backpack contains my Canon 6D camera, my 16-35 F/4L IS, 24-105 F/4 IS and 70-200 F/4L IS lenses some Lee filters and a Hoya HD polarizer. It also holds a Sirui tripod. I guess you could say that it's a typical landscape photographer's kit :).Feedback
Go out and shoot! It was very snowy that day and although it might not feel like ideal weather for photography I still decided to go out and shoot. As you can see the technical part doesn't have to be perfect; you just need the right conditions.
