Arizona - Near Sedona

Alaskan glacial lake we stopped at on our way from Anchorage to the Kenai peninsula. 5 guys going fishing and camping.

A view from camp. A volcano is the tallest of the mountains way across the bay splits the sun into 2 reflections.

The rarely seen orange color indicates it's mating season.

45 minutes of fighting, ran about 200 yards, broke the surface and Tail Danced 3 Times. Catch & Release

The sun hit this sailboat for only long enough to get this shot.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a backpacking trip into Doughton Park in North Carolina. Day two and at this point the trail was running along the side of a creek. Moss covered everything as the trail was following a creek. It was cool and a little dark because the sky and sunshine were hidden by the forest canopy.

Time

Probably taken late morning.

Lighting

The forest canopy basically blocked a view of the sky along this portion of the primitive backwoods trail.

The moss and colors, the dim light. It caught my eye and I removed my pack got my camera out and took several pictures, this one I decided was the best of them.
