Location
I took this photo during a hike in the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise national park. It is a wonderful territory, rich in wildlife and biodiversity, habitat of the Marsican bear (Ursus arctos marsicanus) and the Apennine chamois (Rupicapra Pyrenaica ornata) which live only in this area. Here you can also find the most ancient beechwoods in Europe which are now included in the Unesco World Heritage sites.Time
It wasn't the best time to take photographs, around 10 am. It had not been planned, just a beautiful encounter.Lighting

It has been taken with a Nikon D500 and a versatile Tamron18-270mm which I always use while hiking to be ready for different situations.Inspiration
I love nature and wildlife and take almost all my shots hiking on the mountains. When you are so lucky to meet a fox confident enough in the beechwood you can't do anything else than taking advantage of the situation.Editing

I use a Nikon D500 and Tamron lenses, 18-24mm and a versatile 18-270mm. I also have a Sigma sport 150-600mm, mainly for wildlife. Filters and tripod by Manfrotto. I also have a mirrorless, Nikon1 AW1, as a backup.Feedback
As I wrote above, this shot had not been planned. We were hiking to the top of a mountain looking for the apennine chamois, a wonderful mammal which lives only in this area thanks to an important conservation program which saved it from extinction. Photographing wildlife usually require patience and a good knowledge of the subject and it's behavior. In this case the 'model' has been really collaborative but this does not happen very often. What's important in these cases is to be ready and prepared for all the different situations you could encounter.
