Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken on Main Street in Woodbury, CT- a quintessential New England small town, with White Steeple Churches and long flowing town Green.
Time
This shot was taken in the early afternoon, as the beginning of a significant snow event was starting.
Lighting
Natural lighting is what I use, especially in the snow.
Equipment
This is a cell phone shot- sometimes its all about readiness and being able to whip it out and shoot. An old saying reads "there is no such thing as luck, just good timing."
Inspiration
The Americana aspect bleeds through the canvas- Santa Claus, when he isn't riding around in his sleigh- what car does he use? what does he drive down to the coffee shop, or out to get pipe tobacco- here is your answer.
Editing
Photoshop CC 2019 I believe, with a touch of the preset detail extractor.
In my camera bag
I use a Canon-60D with a 10-18, and a Tokina 17 -83.
Feedback
Always be thinking photograph, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. always frame it out with your hands- and don't be afraid to use your phone.
