Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at one of my favorite places; Lake D’Arbonne. I love capturing God’s masterpieces. Whether it be sunrises, sunsets or even at night. I am a self taught photographer and have found my serenity in being one with nature.

Time

This capture was taken at night... I was actually upset the night I took it. And, decided to take a ride to the lake. There is something about being by the water side that gives me a calming affect.

Lighting

There was something mysterious about the mist over the water that night that caught my eye. The night light behind the water’s edge gave it an even more illuminating effect.

Equipment

This shot was captured on my IPhone 6. No expensive camera, lens, tripod, etc. Even though I do own a Canon and Nikon camera... I love capturing quick shots with my iPhone.

Inspiration

I was inspired to capture this photo due to the mysterious mist covering the lake.

Editing

No post-processing necessary.

In my camera bag

For this capture I only had my iPhone. It turned out awesome.

Feedback

You never know when capturing landscape pictures what you will get. I’ve learned to be patient and wait for that perfect moment. It seems especially with sunsets the longer you wait the sharper and deeper the colors get. In this case it was a cool night and the mist provided for a mysterious setting. Patience and perseverance are key to capturing what I believe to be perfect shots.
