Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my living room and I'm in the picture. I often photograph myself.

Time

I took the picture for a challenge which was called Fascinating Lighting. I remember, I had little time until the end of the deadline, so I was awake for a long time. The photo was taken around midnight, on October, 2017.

Lighting

The light source was a simple floor lamp with a 100 watts bulb. The glasses of the door projected light rays on the wall. That was all.

Equipment

Canon EOS 70D, EF17-40mm f/4L USM, a tripod and a mobile phone as a remote control. No flash.

Inspiration

The reason for taking the picture was the Fascinating Lighting challenge. First I was looking for a place in my home where I could create interesting lights. I picked up my hoop skirt what I wanted to use for the photographs for a long time and I tried to stand to the best place in the light. The photo was taken in this way.

Editing

Converted black and white, set contrast and clarity, cut, made more intense the shadows and the lights.

In my camera bag

My Canon 70D body, 17-40mm f/4L, 55-250mm f/4-5.6 and 50mm f/1.8 lenses, a macro intermediate ring set, and finally a little tripod. That's all.

Feedback

Take advantage of the features of the place where you photograph. Use simple light sources too. Turn a lamp on a patterned glass surface and see what kind of effects it creates on the photo. P.S. Sorry for my wrong English! :)
