Mesa Arch

After showing some of my photos of the canyonlands and arches national park from my previous visits to my wife and sister, they were excited to go there and experience the landscape in person. So we decided to visit the parks during one of the long weekends. We did a drive from California Norcal to Moab,Utah and back through some of the beautiful landscapes of California, Nevada and Utah. We hiked up around 4am to the Mesa Arch view point which is a short hike from the car park, but still a wonderful experience. As the darkness was giving away to light, the natural elements were showing of its best scenes. This particular photo of sunrise is almost very popular amongst every visitor to the park, but still always giving that excitement factor. I wanted to use minimal editing tools this time to get a realistic frame. I left the shadows and contrast as such. The little highlights of the sun on the rocks made it very pleasing for me to submit this common photograph to this contest.
