Recently I visited Yosemite National Park to scout a few locations for future winter trips. I took me only several hours to get annoyed with the masses of people, so I searched for lesser (at least for me) known locations to find peace and solitude (I know I shouldn't expect this at YNP). I stopped at this creek, stumbled over a number of rocks and - in addition to fresh bear poop - found this vista.

I returned back the next morning to photograph the scene in better conditions. There was also more fresh bear poop, but thankfully no critter was spotted during image capture.

This is gorgeous. Did you use a filter as well to smooth out the water? I struggle with this so it would be great to hear how you captured such a great shot.

Thank you for your comment. I used a Polarizer filter on the lens to reduce the glare of the water on the rocks. This is something I would definitely recommend. I also reduce my ISO down to 50 to get a reasonably long shutter speed. Dependent on the speed of the water you need to experiment with shutter speeds between 1/2 - 1/10 sec to see how it looks best. You definitely need to have the camera mounted on a sturdy tripod.
