One Sunday morning, a small group of my friends and family hiked on a trail that gets a lot of traffic. We ventured off along a stream to come across a gorgeous 30ft waterfall. At the foot of the falls was a fallen branch that may have been there for years. It was long and spots of fungi began to break down the branch. But at the end of it, a small shoot sprung out contrasting the barren log.
