Sometimes your best shots come off when you don’t plan for them. This was not the shot I had in mind on that day. I had planned to capture the RFK & Hell Gate bridges together over the East River, and I did get that and was happy to leave. And it was only when I was going to my car that this view caught my eyes and I had to rush to take a few shots before it turned completely dark. I was so pleased processing this, and it became one of my favorites in no time!
