Behind The Lens

Location
The photo was taken in Estonia.
Time
The photo was taken in the end of July when the nights in Estonia are not very dark yet, and therefore the Milky Way doesn't stand out that much.
Lighting
I had been waiting for the right iridium flare for quite a long time. I specifically wanted the flare to be in front of the Milky Way so it would create a perspective of different lights in the sky. Light caused by satellite and star light form the Milky Way.
Equipment
I used Canon 6D with 16-35mm f/2.8 lens @16mm. I used a steady Manfrotto tripod.
Inspiration
For me iridium flares are quite special because you only have on shot and if you miss you're gone have to wait for another opportunity for a long time. So I guess the excitment for the flare to be in the right position in the right time kept me going.
Editing
I tried to bring out the Milky Way as much as possible, so i added some contrast and highlights.
In my camera bag
For the last 2 years I have used Canon 6D. I have EF 16-35mm for landscapes and 180mm f3.5 for macro. Also, Manfrotto tripods are my best friends.
Feedback
The right moment is worth waiting for.
