Behind The Lens

Location

This image was clicked in Masaimara, Kenya

Time

This image was clicked just before the sunset,

Lighting

Capturing the emotion between two Cheetahs.

Equipment

Canon 5D MIII, 500 F/4.0 and handheld

Inspiration

I was following the sequence of hunt of Cheetahs, after they devoured fawn of the gazelle, they started preening and cleaning each other. I wanted to stay back and capture their behaviors post hunt and devouring as mostly people capture only until the hunt and move on.

Editing

A bit of cropping, sharpening and color correctness.

In my camera bag

A Full frame body, A crop body, a Super tele lens, a Zoom tele lens, wide angle lens, Extender, Tripod, bean bag

Feedback

In wildlife life photography studying the behavior part is most fun vs capturing the moment. If one can understand behavior will have a better story vs the one who has pictures captured in split second.
