My first attempt at shooting the Milky Way in the Peak District. Thursday night I went up to Magpie mine with Rob and Richard and as it was a new moon and clear the conditions were ideal. I have just got the new Kase Wolverine Neutral night filter so I was keen to see how it would perform in removing the light pollution from the sky. I set up my camera in front of the mine building so the Milky Way was visible at the side worked out the exposure then opened the shutter, I then moved away from the camera and applied some side lighting to the buildings and foreground with my big torch. The night filter worked a treat and I'm really looking forward to doing some more night photography with it in the future.(Olympus EM-1 mkii 7-14mm f-2.8 pro 30 secs f-2.8 ISO 1600 @ 7mm Kase Wolverine Neutral night filter - BLF Q8 torch)
