Big Four Mountain has become one of the last places in the U.S. to observe a spectacle such as this. The Big Four Ice Caves have outlasted similar phenomenon like the Paradise Glacier and Sandy Glacier Ice Caves, both of which have vanished due to rising temperatures. Despite having shrunk considerably over the past decade, these caves hold the title of lowest elevation glacier in the lower 48. Warning signs surround this monolith, explaining the dangers of entering the ever-melting caverns.
