Behind The Lens

Location

Zion National Park

Time

It was taken about mid day, however since we were deep in a canyon, the lighting was perfect!

Lighting

Lighting was excellent despite being mid day. The height of the canyon walls provided great shading, and the walls were also great natural deflectors.

Equipment

Canon T5i, with a tripod.

Inspiration

On my hike to “The Narrows”, saw this overlooked scene and had to capture it. People sometimes loose site of the small little gems when focusing on the well known spots.

Editing

Used Lightroom to adjust to get the colors to capture the vibrancy as when I saw it in person.

In my camera bag

My camera, batteries which are a must when you are out shooting for countless hours, at least 2 lens (telephoto and wide angle), extra memory cards, lens cleaning kit.

Feedback

Look beyond the obvious. Try to capture images that speak to you, so that you may share with others the emotions and feelings you felt when composing them. Be patient, and keep clicking!
