Monument Valley is an unbelievable 17 mile tour. It's a long time since 1995. These guys add to the moment. #geoff

Behind The Lens

Location

These two indians in tribal outfits were at the Monument Valley Visitor centre in Arizona U.S.A

Time

It would have been around 11.45a.m. It's hard to know exactly because you do the drive around the valley and when you get back they were there

Lighting

I'm very pleased with the picture because if and when you arrive, it is unscripted. What ever the time of day and where these great guys position themselves, you just apply your given interpretation and you will have your own original picture!

Equipment

Digital SLR 'Pentax' 24.5k pixel resolution. The camera is affordable, its high resolution works well in any given situation.

Inspiration

The human nature and genuine background. Background is everything!

Editing

No.

In my camera bag

It's difficult to carry a tripod with you so take a camera fold down pole. If you're hiking it works as a hiking pole. The camera, with small zoom alt. lens. Charger. Alt AA battery holder incase the rechargeable battery fails. If travelling abroad a film camera is advisable but not necessary. It's more like a back up to confirm your work. So there is an extra cost to back it up with another photo format, which you are doing duplicating your work results.

Feedback

Time, place, subject. Then have a great time putting your own view on what the picture represents. #geoff
