The inspiration behind this image was “The Afghan Girl”, there was a length of red chiffon in the studio, that others had been using in one way or another, Cariad, was wearing nice red lipstick and thought I could make something of it. After a quick discussion, Cariad touched up her makeup and wrapped the chiffon around her head, after a dozen or so shots, we arrived at this one.Editing
Basic Lr and moved to Ps for frequency separation and to pop the eyes. The chiffon didn’t quite fit the whole frame, so a little cloning was needed, for the frame I required.In my camera bag
On a studio day, I go prepared, the 24-70 f/4 is the go to lens at this studio, but I also make sure I carry my fast primes for natural light captures. 50mm f/1.2 100mm f/2.8.Feedback
