Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photograph at Edwards Gardens which is a beautiful public botanical garden along Wilket Creek in mid-town Toronto where you can walk for miles.Time
This photograph was taken in late morning.Lighting
No flash was required with this photograph as it had the right amount of lighting for this particular photograph.Equipment
I used my Canon camera which was hand held. I do not have expensive camera equipment nor do I believe that you need to have an expensive camera to capture a beautiful photograph. The camera does not take the photograph but the photographer does.Inspiration
Nature in itself is interesting and it is all around us. Taking a photograph of a leaf on the ground can be interpreted one way but seeing the same leaf floating down a stream can take on a totally different perspective.Editing
The only minor post-processing I did on this photograph was to cropped it. I found that the natural lighting and bokeh that was captured did not require any further processing. In my camera bag
In my camera bag I carry my Canon camera, extra batteries, various filters, lens filter cleaner and extra memory cards.Feedback
I believe that every photograph tells a story, so make your photograph tell a story. Photography changes the way you see things. You notice colours, textures, people, nature … everything around you looks different when you start to see the world through a lens. Have fun and enjoy doing what you love doing, which is taking photographs. Don’t follow your dreams … chase them!
