Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Burns Park in Little Rock, Arkansas. The wind was blowing slightly, and I loved how it was creating ripples in the water below the bridge from where I was standing.

Time

This photo was taken slightly after noon.

Lighting

There was a nice gray blanket of cloud coverage that created the perfect overcast eliminating harsh shadows.

Equipment

I was using my Nikon D5000.

Inspiration

I love fall colors and the calmness of water. With the elements of wind, this seemed like the perfect photo opp.

Editing

I enhanced the contrast a bit for emphasis.

In my camera bag

I typically carry my tripod, 2 cameras, 2 lenses (one standard, one zoom), flash, memory cards, and extra batteries.

Feedback

Be mindful of your frame. Check the entire area as if it were a framed photo on your wall. I like overcast or cloudy or rainy days best for natural lighting. You can alway enhance it post-process.
