Behind The Lens

Location

My model, Blaire Hamilton, is a local artist brimming with entertainment talent. We created this image in my studio in St. Charles MO. She has hundreds of interesting costumes and characters to share

Time

The day was an average weekend day. The only thing special about it was getting time to create cool images with a dear friend.

Lighting

Alien Bees are my Strobe of choice. Take a close look at her eyes to see the shape and position of the lights. My large rectangular soft box is directly to the models right.

Equipment

Canon 5D Mark III is the body I used for this shot. The 24mm focal length gives drama to the wide spread arms and hands.

Inspiration

We were just clowning around.

Editing

LightRoom was used in fine tune the color and sharpness.

In my camera bag

Your Best camera is the one you have. Don't be afraid to take a photo with a phone or a point and shoot. Every shutter click can make magic.
