Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in the old part of Las Vegas near Fremont Street.

Time

Taken late afternoon around 5:00 P.M.

Lighting

All natural lighting, no flash used.

Equipment

Nikon F4 with a Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 lens hand held.

Inspiration

I was with a group of photographers out taking street shots and street portraits. This was just one of several unique individuals captured.

Editing

Yes, post-processing was heavily done in PhotoShop and Nik SiverEfex for the black & white effect. Lighting was natural late afternoon. I darkened the background so as to focus more on the subject.

In my camera bag

This photo was taken in 2014 so equipment change is a little different with me today. I usually have a Nikon D810 but still have and use occasionally the Nikon D4. I still have and use quite often the Nikon 80-200mm f2.8. Nikon 16mm f2.8 fisheye and a Tokina 16-28mm f2.8.

Feedback

Patience is the key to occasionally capture unique individuals while out on the streets of any city. Everyone will have a different style and interests in what is captured.
