A wild, free flying Gulf Fritillary (Agraulis vanillae) feeds on a Texas Lantana plant at the National Butterfly Center in Mission, Texas. The world renowned National Butterfly Center is a private nonprofit organization. This 100-acre native plant botanical garden and wildlife preserve has been established by the North American Butterfly Association to advance its mission of education and conservation. These butterflies are wild, natural, and free-flying. The garden plants have been specifically selected to attract native and migrating butterflies.
