In personal studio in CDMX, was one light setup (a beauty dish with Sk 300) and a backdrop blackTime
was in the night, is funny i was planed shoot in the afternon but the make-up artist made three times the make-up and 3 hour was donet and i start to shootLighting
I want give the perception of falloff with honey comb of the beauty dish, but giving great exposure to make-up and detailEquipment
I use my 5DS with the Canon 24-105mm f4, Weyefe Radio with my ipad (for tethering), one Neewer SK300 with a 90cm Beauty Dish, and my sekonic light meter and two RF603 Radios, i not use tripod that timeInspiration
Usally i shoot portraints but with the near of "dia de los muertos" i talk with my model and put the idea in table she says: "ok i liked, lets do it" the next day when a search for the make-up u was listening Rob zombie music... and before two hours i stop to see images of make-up artist and based in music and movie of Rob Zombie i sketch the basic idea of make-up, was inspired by work of him and for that reason in honor to his work the name of picture.Editing
no really this time was not necessary, just download the shoot in Lightroom and "think is done!" just export the image no presets, no adjustments, no balance i really like the final work in that wayIn my camera bag
I use Airporto commuter bag from think tank (really i love gear of thinkthank but they never take in count for sponsorship) my regular camera in studio is Canon 5ds with the 24-105 f4, but i have in my have 5D Mark II (i use this in location of in shoots outside), and my lenses are from canon 8-11f4 fish eye, 17-40mm f4, 50mm f1.4, 35mm f2, 85mm f1.8, 100mm f2, 70-200 f4, a lots of batterys, my weyefe radio, one ipad, one light meter Sekonic L-478D, one shutter boss, my old mackbook, gel filters and 2 Flash Yongnuo YN 560 IV and my ipod... really i love my bag because i can transport all this thingsFeedback
do it! really see movies, see comics, see tv, and see the other photographers work because always can learn something new and listen much music and if you can travel do it but never stop to try make images
