Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo while on vacation in the Rocky Mountain National Park at Sprague Lake.

Time

This photo was taken early in the morning trying to capture the sunrise.

Lighting

100% natural lighting.

Equipment

I used a Conon Rebel T3i and 18-55mm lens.

Inspiration

I love taking sunrise and sunset photos and we went to the Rocky Mountains on vacation so I wanted to take some sunrise photos of the mountains and found this lake while going through and thought it was breathtaking and so beautiful. While the sun didn't show up like I was hoping this elk showed up and was playing in the lake while we was there.

Editing

No post processing, this is straight out of the camera.

In my camera bag

I have 2 lenses 18-55mm and 75-300mm lens, cleaning solution and a wipe, I have an extra battery that I keep charged.

Feedback

Patience is all I can say. Mother nature doesn't always work for you and you don't always get the photo you want because mother nature didn't show up. Just beside you don't get the exact photo you had in your mind doesn't mean it isn't a great photo regardless.
