We got up well before dawn to get to this spot under the bridge so as to get the lights of New Orleans and the bridge before sunrise. I don't like to get up early but this shot was well worth it! This twin-cantilever bridge is tied as the fifth-longest cantilever bridge in the world.
I did little edit other than clean up on this picture. The star-effect of the lights on the bridge is caused by the very small aperture I used (f22) when I shot the picture.

I could have sworn I've seen and commented on this image before, not one like it, but this one.
No matter; the way the bridge leads the viewer across the river on one side and, frames the city and it's reflections on the other half, is fantastic.
Yes, I know, getting up super early can be a drag, but when one captures scenes like this, it is well worth it.
