I took this photo in the national park The Veluwe in Holland.Time
It was about 3 PM.Lighting
It was a typical autumn day in Holland: light was filtered through a thin layer of grey clouds.Equipment
I only have a Lumix DMC TZ100, all my photo's are taken with this little miracle of a camera... It shows that you don't need an expensive camera with a lot of equipment to take photo's of good quality, The best thing of this camera is that it is very easy to take with you, because it practically fits in your backpocket. I am saving money to buy something professional though, because it will open new possibilities for sure and I am always looking for new challenges.Inspiration
This tree was split into two parts with a wonderful symmetrical branch with nicely colored leaves. Exactly the abstract simplicity I love. The small leave at the bottom of the two parts of the branch was a lovely detail.Editing
I did a little post-processing in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I don't have a bag of equipment at all, only my Lumix DMC-TZ60, a wonderful intelligent automatic pocketcamera which practically fits in my backpocket. It shows that you do not have to use expensive and big cameras and gear to achieve nice results...Feedback
In this case the autumn leaves were the focus of my attention, the background was too disturbing, so I cropped it full screen. If you look at a subject to photograph, you have to try to realize what you want to achieve, Try to find the good light, the right point of view and the best composition... And most of all, take more shots with slightly different settings so you can choose the best one, once you get home and open your laptop when the magic of today's digital world begins... I always crop it later into the size and composition I like best. Crop the photo in different ways, so you can choose the best one the next day when you can have a fresh look at them!
