The story behind this photo: it was taken at Pateira de Fermentelos lagoon, the biggest natural laggon in Portugal. I went to the place with an image in my mind: I was after some beautiful reflections of the bandstand (kind of...) in the water. I arrived much earlier than sunset because I wanted to make a black and white photo and for that purpose I considered hard light should be the best. And what did I find as soon as I arrived? Thousand of water hyacinths covering all the water that was supposed to show me those beautiful reflections!... Not everything was lost because the scenery in front of me was stunning! Immediately I changed plans and I knew I was going to get a beautiful color photography of Pateira. I just had to take a walk around and come back at sunset hour and take the photo. It was taken half an hour after the sunset.
