Location
This is the photo of Lincoln Center Building complex in New York City, New York. This is near Columbus Avenue and 63rd Street.Time
This picture was taken around 5:20 PM ET on November 11th, 2016Lighting
I clicked this photo at night, when the fountain and the building was lit up for the holidays. The fountain shoots water very high up and then slowly the crest of the fountain falls and this cycle continues. I clicked this photo when the fountain jet was as it's lowest level, so that I get the lightning of the water fountain and lighting of the building clear & crisp without blown out highlights.Equipment
Camera: SAMSUNG-SM-G935A Tripod: No Flash: No F-Stop: F/1.7 Exposure: 1/40 sec ISO: 125Inspiration
It was holiday time, I could see lights and decorations everywhere in the New York City. I wanted to capture good well lit picture at night and I wanted it to look good in B&W, not just in color. When the sun was setting and sky started turning dark, I felt that a B&W picture of the well lit Lincoln Center will be great shot and that's how I clicked this photo.Editing
I processed using Adobe Lightroom. This was color photo that I converted to B&W in Adobe Lightroom. Primarily adjusted the contrast, darkness and reduced the highlights. Then sharpened the edges of the building and water fountain. In my camera bag
I typically have my Nikon D3200 DSLR, 18-55mm lens and then my Samsung Smartphone.Feedback
