Shot in a studio in Wokingham Berkshire England ....Time
in the afternoon the studio had tramed walls so no light could get inLighting
Used a beauty dish with a sock cover over the top three quarters power to burn through the smoke, but at the same time trying not to blow the detailEquipment
Nikon D3x hand held 70-200mm F2.8 most peoples favourite no tripod handheldInspiration
I had a brain wave and was into experimenting with all sorts of props ..cardboard cutouts of windows and circles all to give different frames and effects, and then I bought a smoke machine. The learning process on this was that only use the smoke in bits over wise you will fill a studio pretty quick and this was a big studio...I was somewhat excessive with the smoke MyBad and may have got a bit carried away, we had stopped shooting because the smoke had become to much i.e I could not see the walls anymore, so I called to Amber(the model Amber Tutton) to move forward slightly and as she appeared I took the shot.........bit of an accident I am afraid to say, having said that as she moved into the light I knew I wanted that picture.Editing
I had to sharpen a touch and also raise the exposure slightly and clean up some marks but that was about itIn my camera bag

Less smoke is more, plenty of ventilation also always ask if they have smoke detectors
